Presentations and posters

Abstracts and papers will be selected with a rigorous peer review process by the members of the Scientific Committee. After acceptance of the abstract, authors will be provided with detailed instructions to prepare and submit a full text of their manuscript. Based on the results of the review by the Scientific Committee, a final version of the paper will be requested.

The full paper must not consist of less than 5 pages and must not exceed 6 pages (figures, tables and references included), using the following template: ISBM Lyon 2020 Paper template.

After review of each submitted paper by the Scientific Committee :

  • About 100 will be selected for oral presentation.
  • Between 120 and 160 will be displayed as posters during the first two days of the conference in dedicated sessions (60-80 posters on Monday, June 8th and 60-80 posters on Tuesday, June 9th). All displayed poster will have the opportunity to compete for two best poster awards (1st and 2nd place).
  • All these selected papers will be included in the RILEM Bookseries Springer proceedings (ISI-indexed).
  • In order for each accepted paper to be included in the proceedings at least one of the authors must be registered to the conference when sending the final version of her/his manuscript.

Rules of the best poster awards

  • Two poster awards (1st and 2nd place) will be assigned.
  • In order to participate for the poster awards, authors must send their poster(s) in electronic format (.ppt or .pdf files) by Friday, May 29th 2020 to the organizing committee.
  • A jury coordinated by a Chair will be appointed in order to evaluate the posters for the award. Each poster will be evaluated by at least two members.
  • The members of the jury will evaluate the posters during the two days (Monday, June 8th and Tuesday, June 9th) and select the best 12 posters.
  • The authors of the selected best 12 posters will have the opportunity to present their poster in oral form in a special session in the morning of Wednesday, June 10th. Each presenter will have 3 minutes and will be able to present his/her poster with a maximum of 3 slides. The chairman of the session will ensure the respect of the strict timing and the slide limit. The 12 selected posters for the 3-minute oral presentation will be communicated in the evening of Tuesday, June 9th on the conference website.
  • The jury will meet after the session and select the two best posters. The authors of these posters will be awarded during the closing ceremony of the conference.
